Monday, April 2: As of 6 pm the fire along San Isabel Creek drainage near Road 66 in Saguache County was diminished.  Fire crews continue to work hot spots as strong gusty east winds threaten to flare up the fire. The Saguache County Sheriff office says that approximately 50 acres have been burned and 3 residences have been evacuated. Fire fighters from Crestone, Baca, Moffat, Villa Grove, Saguache, Mosca/Hooper and Center, the US Forest Service, plus assistance of additional hand crew firefighters have battled the fire all day.  It is expected that fire crews will continue working hot spots through the night.  We will post further updates as we have them.
